Since there are no direct flights to Alicante from Stuttgart in the winter, I drove, this time with my best friend and our luggage, to the airport in Memmingen. In freezing temperatures and surrounded by snow-covered landscape, we took off on time and were greeted two minutes later by blue skies and sunbeams. Everything would be so easy - would it not be for these clouds :-D! Over the Swiss Alps we flew directly towards Alicante. Everything went smoothly and by 10 pm we finally reached the apartment, where we collapsed tired into bed. Maiju, my best friend, also comes from near Stuttgart and currently, like me, has a semester break. As the flights are not frequent, unfortunately she flies back already on Wednesday. Of course, we try to make the most of our days! The weather was perfect. Over lunchtime we enjoyed a delicious lunch under the palm trees at "Ammos" in Moraira. Incidentally, it is only a few steps away from the office and I have always been very pleased with the service. For a lunch break a great place to start! In the evening, we drove to Jávea and enjoyed the sunset at "Bambula". A beautiful restaurant right on the sea with a great view and nice atmosphere and therefore perfect for a little something after work. Then we visited Claudi and Berni. I met them almost 10 years ago in Mallorca, where they still had an apartment. Last year they bought a house here with Mirjam and Rouben. I had already mentioned them in my first blog post, because through them I came across the internship at Casas Ambiente. It was very nice to finally see each other again after so many years and to know that they always are here for me and help me as much as they can.

The next day we took a drive to Cumbre del Sol. Spontaneously we made a trip to Cala Moraig. I have not been there myself but it's definitely my favourite spot in the area! We were the only ones and because it is the low season we were able to drive to the very bottom and park there without any problems. In addition to the actual beach, there is a small cave, which could also come straight out of a movie. If you walk up the few stairs outside the cave, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the bay and the bright turquoise and crystal-clear water. I took Maiju to the apartment during lunch, where she could enjoy the sun to the fullest. In the evening, we decided to go back to Jávea and eat in the "Cala Bandida". I can highly recommend that too! From the food to the service and the decor we were very satisfied. In addition, the restaurant is located on the seafront, so you can enjoy a great view over the beach during the meal, which seems to be untouched at this time of the year. Unfortunately, on Wednesday, the sun hid behind the clouds. It was already Maiju's last day and we enjoyed it for a last lunch at Chillers. The Havana Burger is really delicious and the Apple Pie for dessert is definitely recommended! Now I think I have written enough about food. Back to Business ;-) After driving Maiju to Pepe la Sal in the afternoon, where she was picked up on time by the Beniconnect shuttle, a small rainstorm occurred in Moraira. Maybe was preparation for the weather in Germany, because there, it is minus zero degrees without any hope for improvement. In the office, I was allowed to upload two new houses to the website this afternoon. To create a coherent picture to the public, it is not only important to give correct information, but also as much information as possible. It should be possible for the client in advance to be able to get a visual picture of the property as accurately as possible from the computer screen. Thanks to the Favourites function on our new website, the client can then save his favourites and contact us with any further questions by phone, e-mail or in person in the office. In the evening, I did my weekly shopping at Pepe la Sal, where I happened to meet Claudi and Berni again. The world is small! On Friday morning, I was with Mirjam and a very nice Spanish married couple who are selling their finca. It was huge (19,000 square meters), well maintained and even had horses and chickens. I was really impressed, I have rarely seen anything quite like that! Afterwards we had a visit of a very modern new house that was just completed. In the evening Mirjam and I were invited to dinner at Claudi and Berni’s and I also spent most of the weekend with them. We drove to the La Fustera beach, had breakfast together and enjoyed the good weather at noon on the beach. And so ended a perfect weekend with lots of sunshine.
