My fifth week at Casas Ambiente Moraira.

Welcome back - here I am again! My weekend was great. This Saturday I did my first Saturday shift in the office. It was, probably due to the weather, very quiet. I then took a drive out to Dénia to explore the city and have something to eat. Unfortunately, the weather had dampened my plans. It was cloudy, very windy and cold. The city was therefore empty, most of the cafes were closed and my favourite Frozen Yogurt store (llaollao I highly recommend – a must with fruit and chocolate sauce) was unfortunately too. My only advantage at this time of year is that I had no problems finding a parking space - after all ;-). 

I researched the town on the internet and decided to have lunch at the "BASTA", with a perfect location directly on the marina. The restaurant is really nice, very stylishly furnished and with a pleasant atmosphere with cosy fireplaces. Inside, it was pretty crowded, as obviously you could not sit outside in the weather. I decided to give Dénia a second chance when the weather gets better and left Montgó for Moraira relatively early and spent the rest of the day in the apartment. I could hardly believe my luck when I woke up on Sunday morning and the sun was shining in my face. Full of enthusiasm, I drove to Moraira and treated myself to breakfast at the "Eleven", a small bar right on the Castillo. I can highly recommend the yoghurt with cereal and fruits and the freshly squeezed orange juice. The afternoon I spent on the beach El Portet in the sunshine. A perfect Sunday! 

The new week was special for me - not only because half of the internship was over, but because I will go home on Wednesday night for a long weekend! For a bargain € 50 I booked a return ticket from Alicante. The transfer from Moraira to the airport is very straightforward thanks to "Beniconnect". You get picked up in a bus and driven back to the accommodation on arrival from the airport. From wherever to get the bus it costs you 50 €. Booking on the website is very easy. You simply select your location and enter your flight details. One day before departure you will be informed by e-mail or by phone about the departure time. The drive to the airport from Moraira is about one hour. 

Monday and Tuesday in the office were relatively quiet. We are still busy with the website every day. On Tuesday, I was allowed to view with Mirjam again and visited a Finca for the first time. Something completely different than the new buildings! Time flew by and on Wednesday I was already heading for Alicante. So, there is not much to report this week. I arrived in Germany late at night and was nicely greeted by snow. I enjoyed my time at home with my family, lots of spaetzle and Schnitzel and made my way back to the airport on Sunday afternoon to start the second part of my internship. I will definitely not miss the weather in Germany...
